Theme: Defending common street and beginner-level control positions.
Lesson Objectives:
- Build confidence in defending headlocks from the bottom.
- Teach effective framing, bridging, and transitioning into offensive positions.
- Reinforce the importance of base, posture, and hip movement.

Advanced Focus: Guard Passing (vs. Closed and Open Guard)
- Core Techniques:
- Conceptual Goal: Emphasize connection, pressure, and grip breaking for effective passing.
- Positional Sparring: "Submission Only Rotation"
Setup: Same 4-person group.
Goal: First to submit wins the round and stays in. If no submission after 90 seconds, rotate both out and bring in the next 2.
Purpose: Develop a finishing mindset and submission chaining under pressure.
